The Monday Night Jam is a weekly live music event where musicians and singers gather to perform together.

It takes place every Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) between 19:30 and 21:30 in Trinity Methodist Church, Brewery Road, Woking, GU21 4LH.

Yes, the jam nights is open to musicians and singers of all abilities. Whether you're a beginner, an intermediate player, or an advanced musician, you are welcome to participate. The events aims to create an inclusive and supportive environment where musicians can come together to share their love for music and collaborate with others.

Are there any specific genres or styles of music that are typically played at the Jam Night?

The genres played at jam nights can vary depending on the preferences and skills of the people attending. The beauty of jam nights lies in the diversity of musical styles, as participants bring their unique backgrounds and influences to create a collaborative and inclusive musical experience.

Is there a cover charge or admission fee for the Jam Night?

We charge a minimum entrance fee of £9 for adults and £7 for students. We also run a small bar selling a range of drinks and snacks. All the revenue goes towards covering the costs of the venue, equipment, staff and event promotion. It also helps ensure the long-term sustainability of the jam night.

What instruments are typically welcome at the Jam Night?

Both acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums, keys, piano, singers. Brass and woodwind instruments such as trumpets, saxophones, and trombones, as well as woodwind instruments like flutes or clarinets. Various other instruments can make appearances, such as violins, harmonicas, percussion instruments, and more!

Can participants bring their own instruments or use the provided equipment?

We provide a professional set of backline instruments, including a drum kit, guitar amplifiers, bass amplifier, and a keyboard/piano, along with microphones for singers. Other than what’s mentioned above, musicians bring their own instruments, and drummers bring their own drumsticks.

Where is the closest car park or train station for the Jam Night?

Trinity Methodist Church has a small amount of parking located down the right side of the building. Alternatively, the brewery road car park located underneath WWF-UK is less than a two minute walk from the venue. The closest train station is Woking, a five minute walk from the venue.
