Vocal Lessons in Woking.

In our one-to-one singing lessons at Woking Music, you’ll receive personalised guidance from a professional vocal teacher, tailored to your voice, goals, and musical interests. Lessons typically begin with vocal warm-ups and technique-building exercises, followed by work on songs to develop your pitch, tone, phrasing, and overall performance.

Your teacher will also provide constructive feedback on areas such as breathing, posture, and vocal control, while supporting your growth in music theory, ear training, and performance skills.

Beyond the lesson room, you’ll have the opportunity to apply what you’re learning in real musical settings—whether that’s performing at our Weekly Jam Nights or taking part in Band Classes, where singers join instrumentalists to rehearse and perform as part of a group.

These collaborative experiences help build confidence, stage presence, and teamwork—all essential parts of becoming a well-rounded vocalist. Whether you’re working toward auditions, gigs, or simply finding your voice, our aim is to help you grow as a singer both in and out of lessons.

What will you learn?

What will you learn?

Posture

When you stand or sit with good posture, your body is aligned and your breathing is more natural and efficient. This, in turn, helps you to sing with better control, power, and tone quality.

Enunciation

When you enunciate your words clearly and precisely, your audience can hear and understand what you are singing, which is essential for effective communication and emotional expression.

Pitch

Good pitch control allows you to express yourself more effectively as a singer, as you can use changes in pitch to create emotion and convey meaning in your performance.

Style

Different styles of music require different techniques, approaches, and vocal qualities, so being familiar with multiple styles can help you to adapt your voice and performance to suit different situations.

Volume

Being able to sing softly or loudly, as well as everything in between, and to use changes in volume to create emotional impact and convey meaning in your performance

Self-Awareness

Understanding your vocal strengths and weaknesses, and making adjustments to your posture, breathing, vocal technique, and performance to ensure that you are singing to the best of your ability.
