Drum Lessons

Woking, Surrey.

Dave Grohl - Foo Fighters, Nirvana

“I love being a drummer. Everyone thinks you’re dumb. What they don’t realise is that if it weren’t for you, their band would suck.”

World Class Drumming Lessons.

For us, drumming is where it all began! We started in 2017 as The School of Drumming. In 2022, we started the Weekly Monday Night Jam, and out of that came Woking Music!

In our one-to-one drumming lesson, you can expect to learn a variety of skills and techniques to help you become a better drummer.

These include hand and foot coordination, timing, rhythm, rudiments, dynamics, drum fills, and drumming styles.

You will also receive guidance on proper drum kit setup and maintenance, as well as advice on how to practice effectively.

Your drum teacher will work with you to create a personalized lesson plan based on your skill level, goals, and musical interests, so you can progress at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Throughout your lessons, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions, receive feedback, and receive encouragement from your teacher, and you'll have the tools and knowledge necessary to continue improving your playing outside of the lessons at our Weekly Jam Nights!

Musicality

Playing with dynamics, adding fills and accents at the right moments, and create a musical conversation with the other musicians. Elevating the performance and make it more engaging.

Independence & Coordination

Allows a drummer to play more complex rhythms and patterns, adding depth and variety to their playing. It also helps to improve overall control and precision, which is essential for playing in a band or recording.

Technique

Good technique allows a drummer to execute different playing styles and techniques with ease, such as playing fast double bass drum patterns, intricate fills, or ghost notes.
